BEGINNER ESSENTIALS

DID YOU KNOW?

Helmets that are ECE approved don’t all offer the same protection? It's good to realize that an ECE approval means that the helmet meets the minimum requirements for safety and protection of a helmet. You can compare it to cars: a car that is packed with extra safety systems will always be slightly safer than a car that doesn’t have those systems. It works the same way with the ECE inspection for helmets.

DID YOU KNOW?

A two-piece suit is actually a one-piece suit cut in half? Two-piece suits are made in one piece and then split into two parts. Therefore, even with a two-piece suit, you can’t choose the size of the jacket and pants separately, as it is a set out of one piece. It could feel like the zipper to zip the two parts together is quite high on your body, but that's how it should be. Your hips are much less ‘indentable’ than your flanks. By placing the zipper higher on the suit, there is less pressure in case of a crash and the chance of the zipper breaking is even smaller.

ADVANCED ESSENTIALS

DID YOU KNOW?

A one-piece leather suit always offers the best protection? It’s a bit difficult to walk upright in such a suit, but therefore all the more comfortable when you are on a bike. A leather suit should be snug on your body. In fact, the tighter, the better! Should you ever crash, a suit that is too big can cause serious injuries to your skin. The downside of a leather suite is that finding the perfect size and fit can be a challenge, because you can't choose the size of the pants and jacket separately.
